The newborn days are a whirlwind of love, wonder, and sleepless nights - and they pass far too quickly. Those tiny fingers and toes, the way your baby melts into your chest, the quiet moments of connection as a new family… these are memories worth holding onto. My newborn sessions are designed to slow things down and capture the heart of this fleeting season in the most beautiful, natural way.

A CALMING STUDIO EXPERIENCE

From the moment you step into my cozy studio, you can breathe. This is a calm, welcoming space where you can simply be while I take care of the details. I’ll gently guide you through the session while keeping everything baby and kid-led. There’s no rush, no pressure and absolutely no forcing little ones into stiff poses. Instead, we follow your baby’s cues and your family’s rhythm to create images full of connection, warmth and quiet magic.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a mum myself, I know that toddlers and young siblings have a very limited window of patience - so we start with them first! I’ll photograph the kids while you settle in, change, or take a moment to breathe. From there, we’ll move at your baby’s pace, pausing whenever needed for cuddles, feeds, or nappy changes. I’ll handle dressing and soothing your little one, so you can relax and simply enjoy the experience. Partners, siblings, and even your well-behaved, non-shedding furry friend are welcome to join in on the love.

As much as we try to achieve all of the positions you are wanting for the session, certain props & poses are dependant on baby's size, how sleepy they are & if they are unsettled.

STYLE & APPROACH

I’m not a “sit and smile at the camera” photographer. My style is soft, natural and full of feeling - less about perfect poses and more about real connection. I’ll guide you into gentle movements and subtle interactions that bring out the love you already share, while quietly capturing the moments in between: the sleepy yawns, the way your toddler reaches for baby’s tiny hand, the way you and your partner look at each other in this new chapter of parenthood.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED

Please bring along a few essentials: snacks and little activities to keep toddlers entertained between poses, a bottle for bub (if they’re bottle feeding), and nappies and wipes for changes. If you forget something, don’t worry - I keep spares on hand. Mum is, of course, more than welcome to feed during the session whenever needed. My studio is stocked with a beautiful selection of newborn outfits, wraps, and accessories, so there’s no need to buy anything special for your baby - just come as you are and let me handle the rest.
